SPUG SIQUIJOR INVESTORS PRESENTATION

The International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank Group organized a presentation for investors regarding the privatization of the power generation function in the island of Siquijor on 20 March 2010 at the Mandarin Oriental in Makati.
The forum was undertaken in connection with the ongoing Private Sector Participation (PSP) program in the Missionary Areas of the Department of Energy pursuant to DOE Circular No. 2004-01-001. NPC-SPUG Vice President Melburgo S. Chiu was present during the forum as well Province of Siquijor Electric Cooperative, Inc. (PROSIELCO) General Manager, Laureen B. Malolot and PROSIELCO Board President, Gerald Dominguez. National Electrification Administration (NEA) Deputy Administrator Edilberto Bassig and Mr. Emmanuel Talag of DOE were also in attendance.
A good number of private companies attended the presentation indicating substantial interest on the part of the private sector on the PSP program for Siquijor. Representatives from the following companies participated in the forum:
