CELEBRATION OF THE “Pista Y ang Kagueban”

“Pista Y Ang Kagueban” is a Cuyono dialect which means Feast of the Forest (tagalog: Pista ng Kagubatan). Feast of the Forest is a yearly celebration in Puerto Princesa, which features tree planting activity at a specified forest or watershed areas as one of its highlight activities.
In this year’s celebration, NPC-POD personnel headed by its Manager, Mr. Larry I. Sabellina, joined with the citizens of Puerto Princesa by planting trees at the Irawan Substation, one of the facilities of 69 kV Southern Palawan Substation and Transmission Lines (SPSSTL). The tree planting activity aims to promote, among others, the preservation of about 12 hectare-area NPC property.
