First Aid and Basic Life Support Training for SPUG - Luzon Personnel
SPUG-Luzon personnel based in Minuyan, San Jose Del Monte City, underwent its first First Aid and Basic Life Support Training held at SPUG-Luzon Conference Room last April 14-18, 2008. The training was facilitated by the Technical Training Management and Services Division (TTMSD) in coordination with the Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC), Quezon City Chapter who provided two certified First Aid Trainers for the said activity.
The objective of the program is to equip the participants with basic knowledge and skills in providing First Aid treatments and performing Adult CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation) in cases of emergencies where immediate medical assistance is not readily available. The training was aimed to raise the level of awareness of the participants and develop their ability to perform effective casualty assessment and timely response during disasters and calamities. - NRE
